They marched in the parade on November 3rd in the celebration of Canton Sucre, along with the Rotarians from Bahía de Caráquez, with whom they have collaborated for the benefit of our community. They have donated two vehicles for the fire department of Bahía de Caráquez: a fire engine and a completely equipped ambulance. The President of the city's Rotary club, Mr. Jacobo Santos Narváez, along with other members of this service club, prepared a special itinerary of visiting all the Rotary Club projects and tourist attractions in the city. The head of the fire department of Bahía de Caráquez, who is also a Rotarian, Jorge Ordóñez Uscocovich, thanked the Rotarians from the United States, especially one Fireman from the USA who for many years has visited Bahía de Caráquez: namely Dr. Evan Delman. "We invited him approximately a year ago when we had the opportunity to visit him in New York. Now he has come with Rotarians since in addition to being a Professional Fireman, he is a member of the White Plains Club, with which we have been collaborating since 2000 to deliver a fire engine through the Rotary club of Bahía de Caráquez and also working two years to receive the ambulance that together have saved so many lives here in our city." These are important contributions that cannot be ignored, and we are taking advantage of their visit to thank them for their assistance to this city and the Fire Department. "We hope to establish and strengthen our friendship between both clubs, to benefit our community,” declared Rotarian Jorge Ordóñez Uscocovich, leader of the fire department. |
