RCWP and Bahía, Ecuador: 2009
The Rotary Club of White Plains (New York) has supported the Bahía Rotary Club for many years.
In 2009, with the help of our INTERACT club at White Plains High School, we were able to raise more
than $11,000 for the construction of a new school in the community of Fanca, an impoverished section of
Bahía de Caráquez. See bahia2010.htm for more about the school.
Con mucha eficiencia y responsabilidad el Club Rotario de Bahía de Caráquez, continúa trabajando en beneficio de los más necesitados, como muestra de su trabajo informamos a la comunidad, que el día 05 de noviembre del 2009, el compañero Rotario, Evan Delman, del Club de White Plains de Ney York, realizó una importante donación de $ 11.000 dólares (once mil dólares), para la construcción de una nueva aula y oficinas administrativas para la escuela Rotaria de Fanca, la misma que iniciará su construcción inmediatamente, con el apoyo de profesionales Rotarios y la colaboración de importantes instituciones de la localidad.
Los socios Rotarios, siguiendo el lema para este año “El Futuro de Rotary está en tus manos,” siguen demostrando su compromiso altruista por las más nobles causas de la sociedad.

With much efficiency and responsibility the Rotary Club of Bay of Caráquez, continues working to benefit the most needed, as it announced its work to the community on November 05, 2009. Our Rotary friend, Evan Delman from the White Plains New York Rotary, delivered an important donation of $11,000 dollars (eleven thousand dollars) for the construction of a new classroom and administrative offices for the "Rotaria de Fanca" school.
