This page contains a collection of eulogies and biographies
of distinguished Rotarians.

M.A.T. Caparas served as Rotary International's President in 1986-87, the year women were admitted to Rotary. This eulogy was written by Andrew Morzello after MAT's passing (on 7/15/2020) at age 97. PRIP Caparas came to White Plains in 1967 to induct 3 women into our club, the first time a sitting RI president inducted a woman. Read the history of our connection to Caparas!
Andrew L. Morzello's Rotary service biography is truly amazing. He continues to be among the most active and involved members of the White Plains club. His energy is impressive, and his PowerPoint expertise (both skills and creativity!) are a wonder to behold. Andy is a truly dedicated Rotarian in every sense!
This eulogy for Glen Nygreen (1918-2010) was presented by Andy Morzello at Glen's memorial service 2/26/2010. The service was attended by literally 100+ Rotarians, as PDG Glen was widely admired and respected throughout D7230.
This eulogy for John Ramsdell (1927-2021) was written by Andy Morzello. Dr. Ramsdell was a well-loved physician and active in many organizations, becoming well-known in White Plains and throughout Westchester County. This is an interesting biography of John's professional career and involvement with charitable organizations.
