The RDC Center for Counseling recognized the Club for 100+ years of service to the community. The Center provides "affordable counseling services to the residents of White Plains and the surrounding communities." It is a non-profit organization with licensed clinical social workers focusing on issues such as "anxiety, depression, trauma, separation, divorce, bereavement, loss, and relationship issues." |

Club President Alan Lowenfels accepted the award on behalf of the
club. Alan's speech was relatively short and sweet and to the point.
Our own public speaking expert Paul Schwarz summed up Alan's
comments:
"Very nice acceptance speech, and a nice gesture - well done."
Note that President Alan wore his Rotary bow tie for the occasion! |

This short video was made by volunteer Steve Buckley to introduce
the audience to the Rotary Club. It is based on the R.I. video "What
is Rotary" and is highlights many of the service activities that our
club has undertaken over the years.
Our thanks to Steve Buckley for putting together such a nice video in tribute to the Rotary Club of White Plains. Duration 2:01 |

This is the journal ad that we took out for the in-person RDC Gala,
which was cancelled this year due to the Covid19 pandemic. We
submitted this full-page journal ad during the 2019-2020 Rotary year
when our president was Ted Weitzenberg.
As far as we know, there was no physical journal printed this year. |

Here is a photo of Rotarian Brian Wallach and wife Beth. This photo was included in the video that RDC showed to introduce their organization ("What the RDC Center is...") It's probably a photo from a previous Friendly Gathering where Brian and Beth were recognized for their contributions and service, but I don't know for sure about that. |
