White Plains Rotary committee gives annual ethics awards
The Business Ethics Committee of the White Plains Rotary Club has given
George Koplinka and Robert P. Dohn its 2008 Business Ethics awards.
"This annual award recognizes the importance of high ethical standards in
business as an integral element of the Rotary creed," committee Chairman Jim
Gardner said.
Koplinka, nominated by Rotarian and President-elect Georgene Mongarella,
retired from sales in the printing industry, specializing in banking forms.
He is an elder in the Presbyterian Church, has been a member of the White
Plains Rotary Club for 42 two years and served as past president. He and his
wife, Peg, live in White Plains.
Dohn was nominated by Gardner, who emphasized the singular quality of
Dohn's ethics. Dohn is a partner in the law firm of Bertine, Hufnagel,
Headley, Zeltner, Drummond and Dohn in Scarsdale. His areas of practice are
trusts and estates, real estate, commercial leasing and corporate law. He
chaired the Grievance Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association
from 2000 to 2005 and served by appointment of the Appellate Division,
Second District from l991 to l999. He and his wife, Erin, live in
Bronxville.
