Foundation of the Rotary Club of White Plains

Funds raised by the Club for charitable purposes are held in the Foundation of the Rotary Club of White Plains ("Foundation"), and disbursed when authorized by the Trustees under direction of the Board.

Application for Funds:

Any qualified charitable organization may request funding from the Foundation by completing a detailed application form and submitting it by December 31st of each year.

Description of the RCWP Foundation:

The Foundation is a tax-exempt charitable trust, officially known as "The Foundation of the Rotary Club of White Plains, New York."

It consists of three separate trust funds, referred to as "Fund A," "Fund B," and "Fund C."

Fund A consists of funds that have been and are designated for the establishment of scholarships to aid and assist in the further education of worthy graduates of the secondary schools in White Plains. The income from this fund is disbursed each year in accordance with the recommendations of the Scholarship committee, as approved by the Board of Directors. Fund A is also referred to as the "Scholarship Fund."

Fund B consists of  funds collected and disbursed for general charitable purposes in accordance with the recommendations of the Service Projects committees as approved by the Board of Directors.

Fund C is an endowment fund whose income and investment earnings help fund the charitable donations and eligible community projects approved by the board of Directors.

In accordance with the Trust Agreement, as amended, the trust funds in the Foundation are received and disbursed by a Board of Trustees. Click here for a summary of contributions made by Rotary Year.


Documents pertaining to the Foundation include the original Trust Agreement, the First Amendment establishing Fund B, and various other resolutions defining the Foundation Trustees, their terms, nominating procedures, etc. For ease of access, we have placed all documents here for review and common access.


The Foundation is tax exempt, New York State #219346, tax ID 13-6165380. Members can log in to the Members-only area and view the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt certificate in the References section.
