8/29/2017 - "Fifth Tuesday"
President Libby introduces our first "Fifth Tuesday Service Above Self"
lunch meeting. We packed backpacks full of school supplies for
middle school students from families in need, coordinated through the
White Plains Housing Authority and our Past President Heather Miller of
the Thomas H. Slater Community Center.

Very fortunate to have John F. Calvelli, COO of the Wildlife
Conservation Society, as our guest speaker at this week's meeting.

John Calvelli talked about the Zoo's history, mission to save
species, and future plans. He also shared some amazing behind-the-scenes
stories, like the time the zoo was called to help rescue a "pet"
Siberian tiger from a NY apartment--someone bought it as a cub...but
then it grew up...
9/9/2017 - We packed fresh produce bags for Food Bank to distribute to
senior citizens. Nick Wolff, Jonathan Schere, George Kontogiannis,
Carolyn Johnson, Terry Hughes, Joyce White, Sylvia Lopez, Tony Russo,
Amy Via, Libby Hollahan. The Food Bank has an impressive operation
distributing to food pantries
